Sherry K. de Cuba, Ed. S - Chief Information & Compliance Officer - Treasure Coast Community Health
Sherry received her Bachelor of Arts in Professional Students from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Sherry furthered her formal education by earning an Education Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction- Instructional Technology, as well as her Masters Degree in Education-Instructional Technology from the University of West Florida in Pensacola Florida.
She is also a Certified Healthcare Technology Specialist in Practice Workflow & Information Management Redesign and has a 30 year history in Indian River County, home of Treasure Coast Community Health. Sherry has worked for Treasure Coast Community Health for over 7 years, leading the implementation of Electronic Health Records and Electronic Dental Records. Since her selection for the CIO position in 2011, Mrs. de Cuba has had oversight for the training and administration of technology and compliance for the organization. She also oversees the Privacy, Security & Compliance of the organization, with focus on meeting HIPAA and HITECH requirements for Healthcare organizations.

He brings a depth of expertise in management consulting and healthcare technology. His mission is to identify and apply technology to improve public health. He is a dedicated, thoughtful innovator who believes in the power of technology to drive positive change in addressing the health needs of the 21st Century. He is currently a partner with Ellis & Adams, Inc., President-Elect of the Central/North Florida HIMSS Chapter and Membership Committee member for Florida HFMA.

Dr. Elliot Sloane - President - Center for Healthcare Information Research and Policy
Dr. Elliot Sloane is a HIMSS Fellow, and for 15 years has led HIMSS volunteer initiatives in privacy and security, health information exchange, medical device safety and security, and interoperability. Sloane is the HIMSS delegate, and elected Co-Chair, of the worldwide Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) standards, testing, and certification programs that are used in the US, Europe, and Asia, and he has a seat on the IHE USA board. Dr. Sloane’s nonprofit CHIRP organization delivers consulting, education, and expert testimony on these matters for US government agencies including FDA, FCC, NIST, NSF and ONC, as well WHO and international ministries of health. Sloane has an active monthly speaking schedule at academic and professional society meetings supporting improved patient care and safety leveraging proven, open-source interoperability and security standards. He also conducts research and teaches online eHealth and mHealth graduate courses at Villanova University.

As an experienced marketing professional, James runs all marketing and communication initiatives for iMethods, a national healthcare IT consulting and staffing firm headquartered in Jacksonville, FL. He also plays a key role in supporting customer accounts through marketing campaigns, proposals and event management. Prior to joining iMethods, James was a marketer in the financial services industry for nearly three years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Clemson University and a Master of Science degree in International Marketing Management from Dongbei University of Finance and Economics in Dalian, China.

Michael is President and Principal of the consulting firm he founded 16 years ago. It focuses on the full range of healthcare information management and process re-design challenges of today’s large providers. Recent consulting assignments he has performed include: interim I/S director; interim RHIO program director; information systems strategic and tactical planning, information systems selection; system vendor contract negotiations; I/S department re-organization; I/S cost allocation analysis; I/S best practices; clinical and business workflow re-design; system implementation management, and meaningful use assessment and guidance. He has been active in HIMSS for almost 20 years serving in various capacities in the Central/North Florida Chapter, and before that the Chicagoland Chapter.
